Superfast fibre broadband

The one thing everyone wants to know is: "When can I get it?"

Use the postcode checker below to see the current status of exchanges near you.

However, please note:

  1. because some postcodes are served by more than one exchange, the postcode checker can't identify the specific exchange serving your property. But by showing all the exchanges nearby, you'll be able to track their progress as they become enabled for superfast fibre broadband;
  2. we like to make superfast services available as soon as possible so when we declare an exchange is 'accepting orders', all the street cabinets in the exchange area may not have been completed yet. This takes time, so please be patient with us.
  3. in many exchange areas not every cabinet can be upgraded.

To find out whether or not you'll be able to get superfast fibre broadband for a specific property, use the line checker on your preferred supplier's website. Here's a list of communication providers currently offering or trialling superfast broadband for home or business.

We're upgrading lots of exchanges every week as we work towards having superfast fibre broadband available to two-thirds of the UK by end Spring 2014. Click on an exchange in the map above to get further information about its rollout status and forecast date. This info is constantly updated, so please check back regularly.
